The teaching staff of the Tajik Agrarian University named after Sh. Shotemur are undergoing a monitoring procedure as part of the completion of HECAFS Project, funded by the European Union's ERASMUS+ Program.
From 16 to 17 May, the capital of Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek hosted the International Conference on Modernization of Higher Education in the interests of Food Production and Processing Industry, where teachers from two Tajik higher educational institutions together with their Kyrgyz colleagues talked about the work undertaken to modernize the curriculum, considering the interests of food production and processing industries.
An international conference dedicated to the modernization of higher education in Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan, in the interests of the food production and processing industry, will be held from May 16 to 17, 2019 in Bishkek, the Kyrgyz Republic.
Currently, at the department of "Commodity, commodity examination and restaurant business" of the Institute of Trade and Restaurant Business KEU named after M. Ryskulbekov, the project has moved to its active phase. Kyrgyz students got an excellent opportunity to learn from European professors. Colleagues from Europe and Kyrgyzstan during a period modernized curricula (syllabuses) and modules of food systems and standards in the frame of the HECAFS project.
In the framework of the implementation of the next stage of HECAFS project, a training session in Kyrgyz State Technical University named after I.Razzakov has begun. Education sessions are held by Ms. Ruta Galoburda and Ms. Anita Blia, colleagues from the Latvia University of Life Sciences and Technologies, which conduct their first classes with university students.
Lecturers from Lithuania arrived in Dushanbe and jointly with their colleagues from the Tajik higher educational institutions have continued to implement pilot study modules of the Global GAP and HACCP standards in the existing curricula. Trainings commenced in September and will be completed in early December of this year. It involves 11 teachers from universities in Latvia, Lithuania and Poland.
